Top 3 Non 12-Step Alcohol Rehab Programs

Not everybody is comfortable with the religious sentiments expressed in the typical Twelve-Step Alcohol Programs. Many of these programs are based on the practices of Alcoholics Anonymous which recommends that control of the disease be resigned into the hands of a “higher power as we know it.” Not everybody agrees with this approach to recovery due to religious, spiritual or philosophical reasons.

The AMA does not recommend specific programs. Usually alcohol rehab treatments that are described as alternative or holistic in nature are the ones that do not practice the twelve-steps.
